We group cases into three types based upon the plan for the case. Which approach do you want to use?

- All levels of service are available.
On the fence
When you're not sure.- We use a more flexible approach to help keep your options open.
- You always reserve the right to change your mind.
- All levels of service are available except Basic.
Contested cases
When you are sure.- We use litigation to achieve the best result possible.
- You always reserve the right to change your mind.
- All levels of service are available except Basic.
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES
The fee may be adjusted if there are special circumstances. Here are some examples:
- The scope of services to be provided to Client by Steve Rice Law changes.
- More than one court appearance per court event is required.
- Client is incarcerated for court dates, meetings, or other client service.
- Interpreter is required for court dates, meetings, and/or client service.
- Client requires direct contact with attorney for client service other than at regularly scheduled meetings.
- Client requires more time than allotted for out-of-court service (that is, o.5 hours per court event for uncontested cases and 1.0 hours per court event for contested cases). All in-court time is included, even if it takes up the whole day.
- Client does not respect the time of our firm (for example, misses a meeting without prior notice, does not respond promptly to phone calls, emails, or letters, or is otherwise not readily accessible).
Notice
The available scope of services may vary from case to case. For example, contested cases normally require more time and attention. We reserve the right to determine which services will be made available for your case. Please contact us for more information.
